As a finalist in the Young Business Executive award Alex says he was already overwhelmed to be included among a list of very inspirational local business people.

“When I was announced as a finalist I went to have a look at the other people in the category and it was a great feeling to be in that list,” Alex said.

Alex was taken by surprise when he was announced as receiving a Highly Commended.

Hunter Business Chamber Policy & Public Affairs Manager, Anita Hugo, said that it was quite an honour for Alex to be recognised in this way.

“Awarding a highly commended in any category is very unusual and the judges don’t do it very often,” Anita said. “This award was acknowledging the calibre of Alex’s achievements, commitment and dedication to business in the Hunter region.”
