The winning design [‘The Silverdale’](https://www.backyardgrannys.com.au/granny-flats-portfolio/the-silverdale/) is one of Backyard Grannys newest creations. It’s striking contemporary design and exceptional use of windows created a sense of space much grander than a traditional granny flat. In acknowledging the design, the judges remarked: The project provides a great example of the quality and amenity that can be achieved in a compact secondary dwelling. The home demonstrates the possibilities for a comfortable alternative option to that of a full-scale house.
