Over the weekend Backyard Grannys once again appeared in the Newcastle Herald, with a feature about our designer granny flats.

It was a great opportunity for us to reflect on the past six years. In this time, we have become the largest granny flat builder in the Newcastle and Hunter regions, something which the local directors are very proud of.

As Backyard Grannys Director, Alex Mitchell, said in the article “Quality … is key and was a crucial element to the initial set up of the business … We have a 50 strong payroll, employing all of our own trades, which means we control quality on every build and our customers reap the benefit by gaining a professionally built home.”
